Workforce Development
Jane Addams Hull House Association has been providing workforce development services since 1996. We serve low-to-moderate income individuals who have limited access to capital and financing, and a lack of educational, technical and networking services.
We are leaders in the communities we serve. With this significant community presence, Hull House Association has many collaborative relationships with other organizations to provide our clients access to numerous education opportunities, employment training and other supportive services. In addition, we have developed relationships with numerous businesses in diverse sectors to access employment opportunities.
Workforce Development program goals include:
- Support business entrepreneurs and current business owners to advance their goals for economic self-sufficiency
- Increase employment opportunities and career options for low-income unemployed and under-employed Chicagoans
- Provide participants with pre-vocational training, job readiness skills, and employment training opportunities
- Provide participants with on-the-job experience, by placing them in jobs with other organizations
- Provide follow-up support to help participants retain employment and achieve self-sufficiency
