HRC was accepted as a pilot private management program of CHA developments in 1983.
In addition, HRC incorporates social service delivery in its program.
“Civilization is a method of living and an attitude of equal respect for all people.” – Jane Addams
The Housing Resource Center (HRC) has been a part of Jane Addams Hull House Association for more than 20 years. HRC is a community-based, non profit property management program. Our mission has 2 focuses – housing and social services. We oversee 857 units of senior housing, and provide low-income seniors with resources to live in well-managed homes. We also provide social services to strengthen and improve the quality of life of our residents, their families, and their communities.
HRC manages 4 Senior Housing Centers. In addition to property management, we also provide social services to our tenants. Some examples of activities include computer classes, exercise classes, and knitting and crocheting classes. Our residents also run the Schneider coffee shop in our Schneider Apartment center!
