Jane Addams Hull House Association was the 1st in the nation to employ foster parents who care for siblings in their homes.
Foster Parent Guidelines
Jane Addams Hull House Association is actively recruiting qualified individuals who are willing to open their hearts and homes to children in the foster care system through our Neighbor to Neighbor program and our Youth Connections program.
These individuals must have a willingness to work
with children who have emotional, behavioral and developmental challenges. The
role of the foster parent is critical in helping
children lead safe, stable and
productive lives.
Within our program, the role of the foster caregiver has been professionalized, as foster caregivers are hired as employees of Hull House, and provided with a salary and benefits.
