Community Technology Centers
The primary mission of our Community Technology Centers (CTC) is to provide computer access to individuals and families in and around the LeClaire Courts Community, Garfield Ridge, and the North and South Lawndale Community as a way to promote and develop the community as a whole. We have 2 centers: LeClaire Neighborhood Network (LNN) and Lawndale. The CTCs work toward this mission by creating training and educational programs for children, youth and adults that provide them the skills and knowledge they need to become self-sufficient. Our long-term goal is to build up a self-sustaining community resource that evolves as the greater community grows and develops.
The CTC sites are accessible to youth, teens, adults, and seniors citizens within the communities we serve. Users can access the Internet, print documents, fax, send and receive e-mail, utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher, Access, and PowerPoint) use educational software, and participate in special training and educational programs.
