Job Training & Placement
Jane Addams Hull House Association has been providing job training and placement services for more than 10 years. We serve low-to-moderate income individuals who have limited access to capital and financing, and a lack of educational, technical and networking services.
Job Training & Placement program goals include: Support business entrepreneurs and current business owners to advance their goals for economic self-sufficiency; Increase employment opportunities and career options for low-income unemployed and under-employed Chicagoans; Provide participants with pre-vocational training, job readiness skills, and employment training opportunities; Provide participants with on-the-job experience, by placing them in jobs with other organizations; Provide follow-up support to help participants retain employment and achieve self-sufficiency.
Our targeted populations include: Female headed households receiving services from the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program; Families living in Chicago Public Housing (CHA); Immigrant populations with limited English proficiency; Homeless young adults; Business entrepreneurs; Current business owners.
We are leaders in the communities we serve. With this significant community presence, Hull House Association has many collaborative relationships with other organizations to provide our clients access to numerous education opportunities, employment training and other supportive services. In addition, we have developed relationships with numerous businesses in diverse sectors to access employment opportunities.
