Homeless Services

Jane Addams Hull House Association Homeless Services provide care and support for our clients trying to transition from a life on the street to self-sufficiency and independence. Hull House works with community business to help our clients break free and create a healthy and nurturing lifestyle for themselves.

Hull House Association provides a wide range of services such as: counseling, food and housing referral services, individualized case management, weekly hot meals, job training programs, substance abuse services, literacy tutoring and educational assistance.

Recently, a group of social workers from Sweden visited Hull House and spent three days meeting with staff and touring sites. As their work focuses mainly on homelessness, our guests volunteered to serve a meal at HELP and several stayed to attend the Emerge Fundraiser on May 2. This is what our friends had to say about their visit:

"We are truly moved by the passion, determination, kindness and warmth we met...We were truly impressed by your creative thinking when it comes to funding and surviving as an agency while maintaining the high quality of your programs. It is safe to say that you help to improve the life of a lot of people, and that Jane Addams herself would be proud of the way you've kept her spirit alive."
