Partnerships

The Center for Civil Society works collaboratively with various organizations to create policy and advocate for people of all races, ages and socioeconomic status:

Adler School of Professional Psychology
The Center for Civil Society has a working relationship with Adler’s Center for Social Exclusion. Together, we will host a series of lectures on social exclusion. Additionally, we will be piloting simulation exercises to make systems visible beginning with the criminal justice system.

Institute of Government and Public Affairs at the University of Illinois (IGPA)
The Association officially announced its partnership with IGPA on December 8, 2006. Together, these groups host forums on topics such as housing segregation, re-entry programs and the education system, based on IGPA’s research.

Loyola Center for Urban Research and Learning (CURL)
CURL has been a long time research partner of the Center for Civil Society. CURL co-created the Minding the Gap publication, and has worked in partnership with the Center to explore issues such as neighborhood diversity and community organization. CURL works to combine the knowledge and experience of both university researchers, individuals and organizations in non-academic settings.
