More than 200 bikes were collected and distributed to Hull House Community Schools during Pedal Power 2008
Pedal Power Bike Drive
The 2nd Annual Pedal Power Bike Drive raised 220 bikes for kids at a Hull House Community School in November 2009! Bikes were collected at two sites: The McKenzie Elementary School in Wilmette and The George Garner Cyclery in Northbrook. Nicole Basil and Megan Davis organized these drives for Hull House.
The bikes were distributed to hundreds of students that very same day at the Books, Bikes and Bundle Up! event at John Hay Community Academy, a Hull House community school.
The 3rd Annual Pedal Power Bike Drive will once again be held this year. Stay tuned for details!
As always, there is a continued need for new helmets for the students to go with their bikes. If you would like to donate money towards a helmet, you can do this through on our Donate Online page. The cost of a helmet is $15.
