Bosch & Hull House

Bosch's Bowling Benefit with Hull House was a huge success raising $1,100. Over 30 guests attended the Benefit sponsored by the 2008 Bosch Fundraising Committee and enjoyed food, drinks, a raffle and of course bowling!

Bosch's first event was a Charity Breakfast held on February 27 at Bosch Headquarters with over 85 employees attending. Along with Bosch volunteers, Hull House associates helped serve up pancakes and eggs and answered questions about programs and volunteer opportunities. Among other Hull House service representatives, Monique Campbell spoke with diners about Child Development Services and Drennon Jones and Nina Winn spoke about the Independent Living program. Be sure to check out the Charity Board in the 25th Avenue Cafe for more information on the Charity Breakfast and upcoming events.

Thank you Sharon Thomas!

Sharon, an Associate Account  Manager, recently volunteered at our Northside Family Literacy Project's English as a Second Language class. This is what she had to say about her experience:

"It was great meeting the group of students and conversing with them to help improve their English skills. It was nice to see how encouraging the women were of one another. They taught me a little bit of Spanish as well!"
