Jane Addams Birthday Bash

Jane Addams Hull House Association held a 150th Birthday Bash at Daley Plaza on Wednesday, September 8th to honor the birth of our founder!

Jane Addams, known as the "mother of social work," had a huge impact on Chicago, especially when she founded Hull House, Chicago's first settlement home, in 1889.

The award-winning drum line from our Hearst Community School kicked off the free party, and a Jane Addams actress blew out a birthday cake after telling her story of Hull House!

Roz Varon, from ABC 7 news was the morning's moderator!
